Subject: I guess you noticed I'm still calling it "global warming" instead of "climate change". I grow weary of politicians and their willing accomplices changing names of things every time that particular word becomes un-popular. Like welfare to re-distribution of wealth. Cap and trade means no cap on new taxes they plan to levy on us. Everyone remembers the flap over the word "is". Bringing home the bacon became known as Pork or pork barrel spending and when that became un-popular, it was changed to "earmarks". Well, they out smarted themselves on earmarks because farmers who raise hogs mark their pigs ears so they can tell them apart when they get mixed up. And these notches cut in the hog's ears are called "earmarks". But, by any other name, the possibility of global warming is too important an issue to ignore!
PLAN: We should have a national trial, like the Scopes Trial back in 1925. The Supreme Court judges could preside over this trial and each side will call expert witnesses to testify. No former or present politicians can testify. No celebrities, talk show hosts or news media will be allowed to testify. Only climatologists, meteorologists, scientists, including N.A.S.A. scientists and research authors, who have been published on this subject [in a recognized forum] will be allowed to testify. Each side will present their case, the judges will each write an opinion and the Chief Justice will render the verdict. The trial could be carried on c-span and a transcript kept of every word and published into a book, which will be given free to anyone in America. Then and only then will everyone know what is the truth and what is a lie.
